Gambling And Unemployed

I don't understand why people would want to gamble while they are unemployed. A prime example is my boyfriend! Recently before Christmas he was made redundant because there was not much work available. He gets his weekly dole money a week which is what? like 50£! He still lives at home with his family, but at the weekend he still has the urges to put a footy bet on, or when where in the pub, put money in the fruit machine. It absolutely winds me up, i can not understand it! why would you want to just throw money away if you don't get much anyway? I see gambling as Mugs money, you don't earn it, or work for it, you just win it, and when he wins! its just ,like you are a MUG, you probably loose more than you win! why do it?
Ladbrokes, William Hill ,Betfred, whatever, people go in everyday and sit there all day feeding the roulette 20 pound notes at a time, and then loosing it! I'm telling you the people behind the till are laughing at you! One time my boyfriend took me in to Ladbrookes so that he could bet on a horse. As i stood over a man on the roulette i had noticed that he had a balance of £500 on his screen and doing £80 spins at a time, and loosing it. To loose that amount of Morey in a short amount of time, it makes me feel physically sick. People are so careless when it comes to money. Some people cant afford to pay £100 rent a week because they are unemployed, who are desperate for a job, supporting their family's and children.

I do think that gambling is wrong, especially when you are unemployed, i always go mad at my boyfriend as he says "ohhh stop moaning, its only a fiver on a football bet or only £3 on the roulette!" Well it does all add up, it might not be much, but if you put that much in a day or a week it all adds up, which that money could go towards a holiday, or a night out.
